The first peer-reviewed publication from our research project 'Urban densification and its impact on the energy consumption of Swiss cities' (StaVerdi) is now available online. Since 2019, we have been investigating the urban densification of urban estates and neighbourhoods and their impact on the overall energy demand together with the Urban Energy Systems Lab of EMPA and KCAP Zurich. The research project 'Urban densification and its impact on the energy use in Swiss cities' is funded by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy. The project results are intended to support spatial and urban planning decision-making processes in Switzerland.
